Product Marketing Manager, Developer Programs, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (i.e. growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing AI productivity tools to solve complex, multi-layered problems and streamline business or development workflows.
  • Knowledge of scaled programs for technical communities.
  • Ability to grow in a collaborative, dynamic, and fluid work environment along with attention to detail.
  • Ability to contribute to an entrepreneurial team culture.
  • Ability to keep up with the industry trends, discover what’s new, how developers are adapting to industry trends, and which innovations are coming next.
  • Ability to drive product marketing initiatives that propel adoption and market momentum, and ability to bring innovative tech products to market.

About the job

Developer Marketing is focused on driving the success of Google's developer platforms, such as Android, Google Assistant, AR/VR, and others, by delivering global, scalable programs, events and creative marketing campaigns to engage software engineers and developers. You will have a passion for innovative software technology and an understanding of how developers use our APIs and tools to achieve business growth. Working closely with other product marketing managers, engineers, designers, and others to own, drive, and execute a wide range of marketing initiatives.

As part of the Product Marketing team for Developer Programs at Google Cloud you will be responsible for growing the population of Google Developer Program (GDP) members, including subscribers to the program’s paid premium tier. You will be responsible for key aspects of go-to-market, contributing to messaging and positioning, and orchestrating marketing execution across regions, events, campaigns, online assets, growth marketing, and field enablement. Your work will solidify for developers why joining GDP should be an essential part of their journey with Google - and core to their growth as technologists. You will synthesize complex product capabilities for audiences both familiar and new to Google tools (such as how GDP benefits for Firebase and Gemini can be used to build a gen AI-enabled application).

You will develop working relationships and interactions with Google Cloud and cross-Google product and marketing teams, serving as a trusted resource on all aspects of GDP for internal teams coming to understand how integrating with GDP accelerates adoption of their services.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth for the GDP membership, including subscriptions to the paid premium tier.
  • Shape the narrative and strategic messaging for GDP.
  • Manage marketing execution for GDP across the channels such as regional initiatives, events, campaigns, digital platforms, growth marketing, and field enablement.
  • Facilitate understanding within internal teams of how GDP integration enhances adoption of their offerings.
