Finance Program Manager, Regulatory Affairs

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 7 years of experience in management consulting, or project management from a public accounting firm or multi-national company.
  • Experience leading multiple, cross-functional projects, identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing processes and controls for enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA/MIS, JD/LLM preferred.
  • Background in or familiarity with financial systems and processes, including SEC filings/financial statements.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage and coordinate multiple projects, and indirectly manage multiple teams simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to take initiative to address problems and make continuous process improvements.
  • Ability to influence across all levels and functions of the organization and partner effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

The Regulatory Affairs Finance (RAF) team mitigates Alphabet’s risk through robust governance, controls, and structured communication to provide timely, consistent responses to global requests for financial disclosures.

In this role, you will manage complex, high-visibility regulatory, legal, and policy inquiries concerning financial information and sensitive business metrics.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $136000 - $196000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Partner with global affairs and public policy, comms, marketing, and legal on financial data and sensitive metrics, consulting finance leadership on strategy and usage.
  • Mobilize Finance teams (FP&A, Controllership, Data Analytics, IR, Economics) to compile required deliverables on schedule, leveraging existing work products.
  • Coordinate finance, legal, and product area leadership to resolve inquiries and secure required approvals before releasing financial data.
  • Enhance and leverage tools and workflows to efficiently intake, refine, document, and monitor requests. Maintain visibility into request status, next steps, risks, and metrics to provide regular operational reporting.
  • Archive completed submissions to ensure consistent messaging and future leverage, while fostering strong relationships across key stakeholders.
