- Experience in Machine Learning and AI Evaluations.
- Experience in back-end systems and data processing.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.

In this role, you will optimize user journeys, improve model performance or latency and maximize sustainable user growth. Your work will contribute significantly to Google Wallet achieving one of its most critical missions: Wallet as an Account Primitive in Google, connecting Wallet to all first-party products effectively.
Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain ML-driven features and data pipelines for parsing and importing pass data from unstructured sources in Gmail, Photos, or Android into Google Wallet. This includes verticals such as receipts, flight reservations, loyalty cards, event tickets, offers, and hotel reservations.
- Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning models and server-side infrastructure for extracting Wallet data from various file formats (e.g., portable document format (PDFs), images, or other multimodal inputs).
- Participate actively in code reviews, providing and incorporating feedback to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Collaborate with engineers, and cross-functional intelligence teams (like Photos and Gmail) to push the boundaries of on-device and server-side model performance, accuracy, and latency.
