About the job

As a member of the Global Communications and Public Affairs team, you will work cross-functionally to communicate with journalists, creators, and thought leaders. You will act as a modern communicator, balancing high-touch relationship building with high-tech operational efficiency.

We are looking for great storytellers who can understand complex issues and explain them via well-written blog posts, scripts, social content and more. Crucially, you embrace AI as a powerful partner in your creative process—using tools to accelerate drafting, research, and insights while applying your deep local knowledge to ensure cultural resonance.

We help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders--and our own employees--about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. You are quick-witted, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious. To succeed in this role, you are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Google, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally with partners across PR, Communications, Marketing, Product, and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Southeast Asia (SEA) leadership to develop internal communications strategies, drive cross-functional employee engagement campaigns, and leverage data-driven insights to keep internal teams fully aligned with Google’s overarching business goals.
  • Draft clear, compelling executive communications, including strategic emails, talking points, and comprehensive presentation materials for regional town halls, leadership briefings, and major corporate events and announcements.
  • Support regional leaders on external executive engagements by developing highly impactful speeches, media briefing packets, and social content that elevate their thought leadership and amplify Google's narrative.
  • Manage external communications agencies by defining program objectives, identifying key work streams, providing precise content direction, and actively monitoring budgets to maximize regional impact.
  • Integrate advanced generative AI tools seamlessly into your daily workflow to accelerate research processes, draft high-quality content frameworks, scale overall operational efficiency, and maximize daily productivity.
