Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
  • 5 years of experience in building proof-of-concepts using web/scripting technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Python, etc.) and SQL databases.
  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technical field.
  • Experience working with Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform products or Google Cloud services.
  • Experience in an online advertising/customer growth role and familiarity with the ad serving industry and internet technologies.
  • Demonstrated coding ability with Java or Python, and database knowledge with the ability to construct complex SQL queries.
  • Ability to absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience effectively and to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with effective problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Manages multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment with excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

About the job

The Product Deployment Engineering Team for Search+, gTech Ads provides complex search and shopping consulting and implementation for Google’s top enterprise advertising clients. In this role, as the critical bridge between LCS customer business requirements and gTech Ads’ service and engineering offerings you will be a key advisor to Google’s customers and serve as the definitive regional service authority for a specific product area. You will be the bridge between “what a customer wants” and “what gTech Ads has to offer” within a specific product area, whether via the standing Menu of Service or our gTech Ads engineering capabilities.

Your role requires strong customer engagement skills, and the ability to translate customer needs into scalable product strategies. You will develop high quality technical-product specifications that address complex business issues. The core objective of the team is to unlock Search+ business by helping customers get the most out of their data across Google Ads and Shopping. This most commonly looks like integrating customer data for the purposes of advanced bidding, activating new products and features requiring deep technical consultation, as well prototyping and last-mile deployment of technical solutions that deliver insights, automation, etc.Google creates products and services that make the world a better place, and gTech’s role is to help bring them to life. US: $152000 - $221000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Advise on maximizing complex product adoption, prioritizing scalable solutions with last-mile customization.
  • Translate complex customer requirements into clear system architectures and technical specifications.
  • Lead technical hand-overs to the Engineering team by authoring high-quality, prototype-grounded Business Requirement Documents and Product Requirement Documents aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Identify systemic product gaps and edge cases and serve as a direct feedback loop to the Ads Solution Engineering team.
  • Act as a trusted advisor providing technical-product oversight during implementation, ensuring the Engineering build aligns with customer strategy while deferring base-code decisions to Engineering.
