About the job

As a Social Media Manager within Consumer Apps Marketing, you have the unique opportunity to take the magic of our AI innovations, like Gemini, and share it brilliantly with the outside world.

In this role, you will bring visual, written, and experiential acumen to Google products. Bringing new ways of working, you will deeply understand social calendars and figure out how to leverage and weave in hyper-local trends, specifically focusing on how we engage in conversations, tapping Google’s cultural relevance locally. You will also identify and execute offline and online activations that can be powerfully amplified across social platforms.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

Responsibilities

  • Manage social media channels by designing social calendars, incorporating relevant local trends, and finding new ways to engage in the conversation.
  • Identify, develop, and leverage regional activations that can be creatively amplified across Google’s social channels for maximum impact.
  • Generate breakthrough creative content, rolling up your sleeves to design, mock, write, or prototype.
  • Generate breakthrough creative content, taking initiative to design, mock, write, or prototype.
  • Evaluate and execute potential relevant local partnerships and amplification opportunities for regional and global campaigns and make offline activities transcend into social conversations.
