Product Manager, YouTube Ads Direct Response Advertiser Experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, 0 to 1, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • Experience designing and launching digital ad products for buyside, campaign construction, reporting, or creatives.
  • Experience working with and leading technical teams to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Experience with user-facing UI work and UX teams, and an understanding of basic statistical concepts, experiment design, and results assessment.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to make informed product decisions.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The team delivers a positive experience to advertisers across campaign planning, buying, creative, and reporting workflows for the Demand Gen campaign type in Google Ads and other buying platforms. This multi-channel campaign includes YouTube, Discover, Feed, Display, GVP, and Maps with a variety of ad formats and devices such as YouTube Shorts and feed ads on mobile, desktop, and connected TV. The team's mission is to maximize value for advertisers through a combination of AI-driven bidding, creatives, and guidance, complemented by control and transparency capabilities.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive the growth of Demand Gen by bringing innovative features to the advertiser experience in Google Ads and other buying platforms. 
  • Define an idea and roadmap with clear objectives and success metrics, including OKRs and a holistic set of KPIs to assess trends and make adjustments.
  • Drive execution and help the team hit milestones and launches.
