About the job

As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Cloud AI, you will lead the end-to-end technical program management of critical customer bugs, technical blockers, and product defect escalations across Generative AI workloads and platform services. You will serve as the essential technical bridge connecting customer-facing field teams (Account Teams, Customer Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Support) with Product Management and Core Engineering.

In this role, you will establish and govern standardized issue intake channels, drive rigorous technical triage, hold product engineering accountable for resolutions and committed ETAs, and lead operational reviews and executive reporting cadences—ultimately driving customer satisfaction and moving customer sentiment to sustained green.

It's an exciting time to join Google Cloud’s Go-To-Market team, leading the AI revolution for businesses worldwide. You’ll excel by leveraging Google's brand credibility—a legacy built on inventing foundational technologies and proven at scale. We’ll provide you with the world's most advanced AI portfolio, including frontier Gemini models, and the complete Vertex AI platform, helping you to solve business problems. We’re a collaborative culture providing direct access to DeepMind's engineering and research minds, empowering you to solve customer challenges. Join us to be the catalyst for our mission, drive customer success, and define the new cloud era—the market is yours.

Responsibilities

  • Own and orchestrate the technical lifecycle for identifying, tracking, prioritizing, and resolving complex customer bugs, technical blockers, and product defect escalations across Generative AI solutions and platform services from initial intake through engineering fix and production verification.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between field teams, Product and Core Engineering; work directly with software engineers, product managers, and infrastructure leads to drive rapid root-cause analysis, negotiate engineering backlog prioritization, resolve critical defects, or secure realistic, committed resolution dates.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated reporting frameworks, dashboards, and operational telemetry tracking key metrics; deliver concise, high-signal briefings to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Advocate the customer experience and act as the escalation quarterback for high-priority accounts; proactively resolve systemic technical friction points to protect adoption and contract momentum, driving at-risk accounts to sustained green customer sentiment.
