Senior Manager, Brand Activation GTM, YouTube Business

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business strategy, go-to-market (GTM) execution, management consulting, sales operations, or brand marketing, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 5 years of experience communicating with product, marketing, and sales/business development partners.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with projects, cross-functional stakeholder management, and project management, including the ability to work autonomously and keep multiple priorities moving at the same time.
  • Knowledge of YouTube Product, Tech, creator ecosystem, YouTube ad sales or Brand marketing strategy as well as the customer and engaged contexts in which they operate.
  • Strong business sense with thinking and distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Proven track record of standing up or leading a centers of excellence, GTM operational frameworks, or customer engagement programs within a global technology or media company.

About the job

The YouTube Business Central Strategy and Operations Team is responsible for leading global, cross-functional, initiatives to drive the growth and health of the YouTube creator and partner ecosystem. The core capabilities of the team include planning and business operations, incentives design and operations, and business strategy and operations across Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

In this role, you will lead the newly established Brands as Creators Center of Excellence within YouTube Business. You will serve as the lead driving how YouTube empowers brands to build, optimize, and scale their organic presence on the platform bridging the "YouTube Confidence Gap" positioning YouTube as a full-funnel marketing platform across Paid, Owned, Earned, and Sponsored content. You will act as the central front-end leader and connective tissue between Product, UX, Marketing, Operations, Global Business Organization sales teams. You will define the overarching strategy for brand engagements, develop Brand playbooks on content and channel strategy, lead brand activation workshops, deploy global commercialization materials, and lead cross-functional working groups to shape product roadmaps based on market feedback. You will demonstrate the ability to lead through ambiguity, persuade executive brand, build strong cross-functional alignment, and translate complex market and product signals into an actionable, scalable go-to-market strategy.

US: $234000 - $325000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Develop commercial strategy for YouTube Brands as Creators program, including building, operationalizing, leading a Center of Excellence serving as the unified front-end for Brand requests for organic YouTube guidance.
  • Architect and co-execute engagement models, including 1:1 brand consultations, C-Suite/Brand x Creator workshops for high-priority brands, scaled training across key markets.
  • Oversee the creation, deployment, and scaling of playbooks, equipping brands with actionable guidance on channel customization, content strategy, Shorts, Posts, community engagement, AI search/discovery.
  • Advocate holistic platform measurement, insights to brands in partnership with GBO, Marketing, demonstrating the multiplier effect of Paid, Owned, Earned, Sponsored content flywheels. Monitor, report on core program metrics, OKRs to executive leadership.
  • Drive alignment across GTM and Product/UX leads to influence, advocate for product investment, roadmaps. Communicate actionable insights to executive leadership by preparing, delivering executive-ready presentations.
