Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Energy, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program management, strategy development, or a related role within the energy industry.
- Experience in conducting exploratory data analysis and producing research publications or public disclosures.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and messaging strategies.
- Experience analyzing energy policy, regulatory models, or energy market issues.
Preferred qualifications:
- Expertise on complex energy topics and ability to translate technical data and concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with and experience scoping, managing, and publishing research on energy topics (e.g., technology, policy, markets, etc.).
- Understanding of energy policy and market issues, including regulatory models and processes, legal and disclosure frameworks, and political and public sentiment.
- Excellent program management skills and experience leading successful programs in large, matrixed organizations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, cross-functional colleagues, and external partners.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $188000 - $274000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Drive the strategy and execution of Google's public-facing energy research and disclosures.
- Lead complex exploratory data analysis and research initiatives to inform our data center energy location strategy and broader energy market positioning.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to scope, manage, and publish high-impact research on energy technology, policy, and markets.
- Translate highly technical data and complex energy concepts into accessible messaging strategies for non-technical audiences and executive leadership.
- Support Google's global sustainability objectives by helping navigate and shape regulatory frameworks, public sentiment, and industry-wide energy disclosures.
