Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience in construction management.
  • Experience in environmental regulations, safety and health protection.
  • Experience implementing EHS management systems within developer-led or third-party delivery models.
  • Experience in EHS program management in a data center or similar environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or PE (Professional Engineer).
  • Master's degree in a relevant technical or management field.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As an EHS Program Manager, you will be a key contributor to continuous improvement across EHS Supply Chain operations. You will independently manage the full lifecycle of programs, proactively identifying, organizing, and leading program activities that drive impactful business, operational, and technical improvements within the EHS domain. This includes defining and addressing undefined cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges, utilizing program management methodologies to effectively monitor and manage programs and stakeholders.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $159000 - $231000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the EHS programs for data center construction and operations and be an EHS advisor to Google stakeholders.
  • Ensure that contractors deliver quality services and that problems are identified and corrected quickly. Responsible for identifying and mitigating environmental and safety risks at construction sites, as well as the transition from end to end supply chain operations to operational activities.
  • Manage construction quality processes with our general contractors, vendors and a broad range of service providers in a SIMOPS site readiness environment.
  • Establish metrics to quantitatively characterize quality status for the full life cycle of the deployment project.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of EHS programs, ensuring alignment with overall EHS goals.
