Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of industry experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, business development, or digital marketing, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leveraging AI-driven marketing technologies, first-party data strategies, or cross-border expansion initiatives.
  • Strong familiarity with Google Ads solutions (Search, YouTube/Video, Demand Gen, App Campaigns) and digital measurement frameworks.
  • Deep industry knowledge of Japan's Retail, Finance and Mobile landscapes.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex client organizations and influence senior stakeholders with data-driven storytelling.

As an Industry Manager, you will be an architect of strategic growth, forging trusted alliances with C-level stakeholders to align on ambitious business goals. Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and industry thought leaders to the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ecosystem-specific account planning, support JBP execution tailored to complex marketplace and digital commerce dynamics, monitoring account pacing, campaign metrics, and revenue delivery.
  • Pitch Google ad solutions—focusing on performance max, retail media integration, YouTube demand gen, and app growth—to capture incremental business budgets.
  • Build trusted day-to-day relationships with key digital marketing leads and business vertical managers, resolving tactical challenges and demonstrating clear media ROI.
  • Coordinate closely with Product, Measurement, and Data specialists to tailor ad tech solutions that address large-scale platform ecosystem needs.
  • Track and share performance insights, optimize complex cross-channel campaigns, and contribute to best-practice sharing within the dedicated account pod.
