Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with Linux and Windows technologies and architecture/infrastructure, in compute infrastructure, supporting, developing, and maintaining cloud solutions.
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise solutions.
- Experience creating scripts to automate tasks.
- Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with current polygraph.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience implementing projects in a customer-focused, fast-changing environment.
- Experience working in data center operations.
- Knowledge of enterprise-grade operating systems, working in Linux/Unix/WSL/Windows, Kubernetes, and network administration.
- Understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), group policies and hardening practices.
- Understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) environments.

The Cloud Expansion Air-Gapped team is dedicated to pioneering the automated expansion of our sovereign cloud infrastructure, ensuring we can deliver new capacity and capabilities with both speed and unwavering reliability. Our scope covers the end-to-end lifecycle of air-gapped environment growth, from capacity planning and hardware deployment to seamless new zone turn-up and validation. By focusing on automation for deployment and validation processes, we directly support the critical mission of providing secure and scalable cloud services to our sovereign clients. We are the specialized force driving the growth and technological advancement of our most secure cloud offerings.As a Systems Development Engineer on the team, you will take a commercial product through installation, deployment and proof of concepts. You will also drive innovative approaches to operating and supporting infrastructure to achieve results.
In this role, you will maintain and control access to the systems. You will ensure a secure, stable and reliable operations center, while advocating for our customer and operator needs.

Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure air-gapped cloud solutions such as Google Distributed Cloud (GDC). Continually improve deployment and management processes for air-gapped cloud solutions by collaborating with external stakeholders such as engineering teams.
- Install, configure, and manage multiple technologies, including but not limited to network switches, firewalls, block storage, object storage, servers, and hardware security modules.
- Deploy and configure Operations Center (OC) IT infrastructure, including local workstations and IT equipment used to manage air-gapped cloud solutions.
- Collaborate within the organization and with external stakeholders to deliver complex enterprise solutions.
- Troubleshoot and collaborate with engineering on issues that may arise with infrastructure or software while deploying an air-gapped cloud solution.
