Strategic Partner Development Manager (Portuguese, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently to engage with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Experience managing and growing a portfolio of technology partnerships, including extensive cross-functional team engagement.
  • Excellent communication and collaborating skills.

About the job

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Partner Development Lead, you will work closely with Product, Legal, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Policy teams to build and manage our strategic partnerships. Some of the attributes you will bring to this job include strong attention to detail, outstanding communication and project management skills. You will be working to design partnership strategies that are valuable to Google users and driving adoption of leading-edge Google technologies by our strategic partners.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to own the strategy and execution to define crucial go-to-market efforts for our Search and Gemini products. You will be developing partnership plans, negotiations, industry representation, strategy presentations to executive management, engaged analysis, and ensuring projects are executed smoothly internally and with the partners.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Execute distribution agreements at scale understanding nuances of the ecosystem and impact for Google.
  • Articulate with Product and Engineering opportunities to deploy products and integrations with partners from the region.
  • Drive collaboration with partner and internal operation teams to complete technical implementations; provide feedback from partners, and market intelligence, to Google’s product teams.
  • Engage with several internal cross functional teams, in multiple geographies, to guarantee smooth launches and other post-agreement activities. These include Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Policy, PR, Legal and others.
  • Develop Google's presence with the local ecosystem, understanding it's nuances and how Google can better support.
