Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience as an HR business partner or HR generalist supporting leaders at global companies.
  • Experience in organizational effectiveness, including workforce planning and organizational design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working as a management consultant, working with external clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within constraints as well as to test the status quo.
  • Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and being a part of deeply complex strategy discussions.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships with executive leaders and a complex set of stakeholders to drive organizational change.

Every month, over a billion people use Google Maps and Waze to find their way, while more than 170 million students and educators rely on Google for Education to unlock their potential. In this role, your mission is to help our people navigate and realize theirs. You will join a dedicated People Partner team focused on a massive, global Product Area. Your day-to-day involves coaching top leadership talent and managing the people-side of large-scale change, ensuring an environment where all Googlers are treated with respect and have the support they need to solve the world's most complex mapping and learning issues.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $219000 - $305000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Identify organizational and talent gaps, and people needs, to successfully execute business strategy, evaluating the talent landscape to inform resourcing and development plans within a medium- to high-complexity product area.
  • Lead efforts to improve organizational health by monitoring trends and metrics related to new, undefined, or multi-dimensional problems, maintaining a pulse on the culture, speaking truth to leadership, and sponsoring a workforce environment.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and provide sound HR guidance on future or undefined problems, balancing client, business, and company needs against risks, with a focus on People consequences and reactions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader within the client organization.
  • Prepare, support, and influence individuals, teams, and organizations in making organizational change in order to shape and deliver People Plans.
