APAC Category Business Manager, Devices and Services (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a management consultancy, strategy, go-to-market, investment or finance role in the tech/consumer goods or telco industry.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support the client relationship management in the region.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, demonstrating resilience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to effectively use AI tools and develop AI solutions to improve efficiency in managing business planning and RIB Operations.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with leadership and multiple cross-functional teams to drive alignment on business/investment planning processes and tools.

About the job

As the APAC Business and Retail Investment Budget (RIB) Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving the APAC-wide operational business cadence to enable effective business and investment planning to address growth opportunities, risks and enable the APAC business to achieve annual and quarterly business targets. This includes leading APAC business reviews, driving actionable insights on business performance and leading program management for APAC’s RIB operations.

This is a highly cross functional role where you will work directly with APAC Platforms & Devices Commercial Organization (PDCO) leadership, APAC cross-functional stakeholders (across Strategy & Operations, Finance, Commercial Operations, Sales Operations) and Country Category Business Managers (CBM) to drive quarterly GTM plans, return on investment (ROI) insights and lead key transformation workstreams to improve our RIB/business management tools and operating model. You will bring strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, data analysis capabilities (including effective use of AI tools) and operational excellence for program management.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Country Category Business Managers, Finance and Sales Operations to drive quarterly business and investment planning cadences across APAC markets.
  • Drive key leadership reviews on APAC business performance, category insights and RIB investment efficiency/ROI.
  • Lead program management of RIB tracking and planning tools to enable effective business planning and investment decisions.
  • Partner APAC Country leads, Country CBM managers, Finance and Commercial Operations teams to define and execute on RIB transformation workstreams to sharpen business insights and improve agility of investment decisions.
  • Lead APAC-wide program management for annual planning processes and data/tools infrastructure.
