Head of AI Ecosystem, Kaggle, DeepMind

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience in developer marketing, developer relations, or a similar field.
  • 5 years of experience managing and leading teams, including cross-functional collaboration and vendor/agency management.
  • Experience leading go-to-market strategies for developer or researcher-facing tools, APIs, or platform ecosystems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Expertise in the modern AI ecosystem, including an opinionated understanding of LLMs, agentic frameworks, and model evaluation methodologies.
  • Exceptional storytelling ability with experience translating deeply technical concepts into compelling narratives for researchers and developers.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile environment with a bias for action.
  • Strong existing networks within AI labs, research organizations, or open-source AI communities.

As Head of AI Ecosystem at Kaggle, you will be at the forefront of this transformation. You will lead the strategy and execution for ambitious campaigns that shift perceptions of Kaggle and massively amplify our mission of discovering "what works" in frontier AI to benefit humanity. You will own how and where we tell the story of Kaggle’s brand, product, and community to the world with authenticity and technical excellence.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $219,000 - $305,000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a holistic strategy for Kaggle's public presence—including brand, content, community, and go-to-market—in close partnership with Kaggle's leadership and Google DeepMind stakeholders.
  • Build a content engine that establishes Kaggle as the authoritative voice on AI evaluation, spanning blogs, social media, video, newsletters, and events.
  • Own the GTM playbooks for Kaggle's key moments, such as benchmark launches, competition announcements, model releases, and product launches.
  • Define how Kaggle earns trust and builds relationships with the AI research community, developer ecosystem, and frontier labs.
  • Oversee daily marketing operations, including email programs, social channel management, campaign execution, and analytics, while managing external vendors and agencies.
