Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product or program management.
  • 5 years of experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in product operations, technical solutions, or strategy and operations.
  • 5 years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional executive stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Sales).
  • Proven track record in operational excellence, performance management, and career development.
  • Deep knowledge of the Google Ads ecosystem or Search.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to influence senior leadership through data-driven narratives.

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

As the Head of Lead Generation (Gen), Verticals, and Local, you will lead a team of Product Excellence and Practitioner Success Managers to drive growth and improve the customer experience for advertisers. Working across sales, support, and engineering, you will be primarily responsible for leading the strategic transition to AI-based solutions for support operations, ensuring our advertisers thrive in an AI-first world.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $228000 - $317000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of Product Excellence Managers (PEMs) and Practitioner Success Managers (PSMs) to drive product and practitioner excellence for the Lead Gen, Local, and Travel verticals.
  • Lead the transition to AI-based solutions within support operations, working horizontally with PM and Engineering to ensure advertisers succeed in an AI-first ecosystem.
  • Define and drive the gTech Ads product and service strategy, and long-term roadmap.
  • Lead strategic responses to accelerate product adoption, drive customer growth and remove friction to customer experience.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of internal tools and product deployments, translating customer feedback and metrics into actionable product gaps to influence Engineering and Product roadmaps.
