- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in a cross-functional project/program management, consulting or a client-facing role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Relevant cyber and project management industry certifications, TAFE certifications and SANS, ISC2, OffSec, GIAC, CompTIA, CREST.
- Experience in cybersecurity sales.
- Experience in one or more of Mandiant's core functional areas (incident response, offensive security, cyber strategy and transformation).
- Experience working with C level executives such as CISOs and the ability to set and manage expectations with executive stakeholders and team members.
About the job
As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and detect and respond to cyber security threats. Security Consultants have an understanding of computer science, operating system functionality and networking, cloud services, corporate network environments and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats.
As a Security Consultant, you could work on engagements including assisting clients in navigating technically complex and high-profile incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, and malware triage. You may also test client networks, applications and devices by emulating the latest techniques to help them defend against threats, and will be the technical advocate for information security requirements and provide an in-depth understanding of the information security domain. You will also articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical contributors and successfully lead complex engagements alongside cross functional teams.
The Mandiant Consulting Go-to-Market (GTM) team for Australia and New Zealand (AuNZ) plays a central role in leading Mandiant consulting efforts across the AuNZ market. Our primary objective is to facilitate the consumption of Mandiant consulting services by directly engaging with customers through the entire consulting lifecycle. This engagement is conducted in close partnership with the Google Cloud Security Specialist Sales team, ensuring a cohesive and aligned approach to client needs. We harmonize Mandiant's comprehensive capabilities across all its functions, tailoring them to specific customer requirements and engaging effectively with all relevant stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Govern the end-to-end execution of medium-to-large cyber security consulting engagements, ensuring they are delivered on time and within the agreed scope.
- Drive end-to-end program management from planning/scoping, milestone, kickoff materials, governance frameworks, tracking end-to-end budgets and issue management through delivery.
- Build relationships and exert tactful influence in a complex organization with multiple cross-functional stakeholders. Identify work/process inefficiencies and drive repeatable solutions to reduce or eliminate inefficiencies.
- Plan and execute work in a way that builds trust across teams, connecting clients and internal teams, and making sure inter dependencies are understood and planned for. Identify and integrate multiple adjacent or interrelated client/stakeholder project timelines, goals, and objectives.
- Partner with technical leads, coordinate comprehensive, high-quality technical, operational and executive reports that clearly outline security gaps and provide practical remediation roadmaps.
