Strategic Partner Manager, Scaled Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in the video, media, entertainment industry, as a YouTube creator or working with partners or creators.
  • Experience in an external-facing customer interaction role within customer support, sales, or relationship development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with project management using project execution frameworks.
  • Ability to manage basic negotiation, understanding key commercial terms and closing standard agreements.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with stakeholders at all levels of an organization, as well as influencing cross-functionally.
  • Ability to analyze data and insights and translate in an external-friendly, actionable way.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and proven track record of proactively improving processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, planning and time/pipeline management skills, with strong attention to detail.

The YouTube Partner Program engages millions of content creators — a group that’s growing quickly, and will grow even faster in the coming years. The Scaled Partnerships team focuses on driving partner and product success at scale by acquiring, managing, and growing partners. The team spans acquisitions and partnerships to drive outcomes across all partner types and all verticals. The Partnerships team is responsible for managing creators and companies that have reached a certain threshold for strategic importance. Fast-paced, dynamic and proactive, our team goal is to responsibly grow creators and media companies at scale through enriching 1:1 and 1:many engagement, product activations, opportunities, and virtual and in-person workshops.

As a Strategic Partner Manager (SPM), you will manage a portfolio of YouTube creators identified as strategic to our business objectives. You will drive product adoption and optimization across YouTube’s platform priorities while also assessing creators’ needs and goals, crafting a plan to grow their channel, and delivering insights and strategy to enable their success on YouTube. You will deliver against partner performance metrics and core program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive maximum impact.

In this role, you grow in a fast-paced environment, and you are building a working understanding of YouTube internal processes, products, and teams. You support your team in deepening relationships with key partners and creators, helping them optimize and adopt features, enabling YouTube to be successful. You are developing your skills in relationship-building, negotiation, project management, and collaboration, focusing on tasks that contribute to your team's and organization's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Establish scaled strategic relationships with partners through different engagement types.
  • Drive product adoption, optimization across YouTube priorities and support creators in their content, monetization and viewership goals.
  • Ensure your partner portfolio complies with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and M10N policies and support them in navigating YouTube’s support and operations teams.
  • Engage with and understand the latest features, policies, and platform improvements to help partners succeed.
  • Project manage initiatives to grow emerging creators, including workshops, events and other scaled initiatives.
