Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with the design, construction, operations, and maintenance of medium and low voltage electrical systems within commercial buildings, research and development laboratories, or light industrial facilities for a global organization.
- Experience managing outsourced service provider models, leading projects and programs.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in a technical discipline, business, or management field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Experience in a high-tech, fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize multiple and changing initiatives.
- Understanding of AI/ML tools and their applicability, functionality, and limitations as well as an understanding of local and National Electrical Codes and Title 24.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented with the ability to produce and deliver executive presentations, produce status reports, and communicate deliverables to all stakeholders and senior management.
About the job
As a Technical Services Program Manager, you will be responsible for defining an ambitious operational outlook, strategic roadmap, and performance goals for electrical infrastructure across a landscape of commercial offices, research labs, and data centers. You will lead an ecosystem of outsourced service providers, technical consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver infrastructure performance. You will be the single point of accountability for your programs, developing partnerships with suppliers to elevate day-to-day experience of building occupants, eliminate disruptions caused by electrical infrastructure, and support the delivery of a holistic workplace experience that empowers collaboration, productivity, and well-being for Googlers.
In this role, you will drive core objectives focused on electrical reliability, efficiency, and AI integration. Specifically, you will drive an AI-native agenda to enhance infrastructure management, leading strategic supplier relationships, leveraging data-driven insights for performance management, and providing financial and creative leadership to ensure systems scale with Google's growth.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $158,000-$228,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Define operational outlook, performance goals, and maintenance roadmaps for critical electrical infrastructure. Guide external consultants and oversee daily tasks to ensure service delivery aligns with business objectives.
- Develop contractual structures, incentive programs, and SLAs to align vendor performance with strategic goals. Manage utility relationships, including solar interconnects and incentive programs, to maximize cost-efficiency and support energy objectives.
- Partner across matrixed teams to lead consistent electrical infrastructure strategies across the Bay Area. Ensure capacity and reliability for amenities, complex research facilities, and commercial spaces through cross-functional collaboration.
- Leverage AI and technical data from UPS, generators, and distribution systems to drive vendor performance and optimize maintenance strategies.
