Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in hardware development, and shipping electronic products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience designing with low-power microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M or similar) and managing power-constrained architectures.
  • Experience with hardware debugging, board bring-up, and prototyping lab equipment.
  • Proficiency in ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, or Orcad).

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Robotics team whose mission is to build components for advanced robots capable of dexterous, general, and useful physical actions. You will contribute to developing the core hardware systems for our robots, aiming to enhance the lives of billions worldwide through advancements in the physical realm.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $132,000 - $189,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end multi-layer, rigid, and rigid-flex PCB layout, optimizing for ultra-compact wearable form factors.
  • Select and integrate bio-metric, inertial, and environmental sensor suites while ensuring low noise and data accuracy.
  • Architect ultra-low-power systems using Power management integrated circuits (PMICs), fuel gauges, and charging circuits to maximize overall battery life.
  • Implement high-speed interfaces (SPI, Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI)) and wireless protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi) ensuring signal integrity and FCC/CE compliance.
  • Lead hardware bring-up and debugging while partnering cross-functionally to resolve mechanical, thermal, and firmware constraints.
