Country Marketing Manager (English, Vietnamese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of work experience in product marketing, brand marketing, direct marketing, marketing strategy or consulting.
  • Ability to communicate English and Vietnamese fluently to engage with stakeholders in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience in managing direct and cross-functional teams to increase company business growth and awareness through marketing efforts.
  • Understanding of Google's position, and of the search, online advertising, or web publishing markets along with the ability to determine the optimal way to position products in the market.
  • Ability to analyze products, customers, market dynamics, and working on a variety of product related challenges.
  • Ability to develop strategy, driving alignment with executive stakeholders, and inspiring teams to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to build teams, as well as attract and retain talent.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

Responsibilities

  • Pioneer the search and online brand advertising markets, supporting Google's growth and business generating efforts in Vietnam, and create an excellent localized view and go-to-market strategies on global approaches around new product launches.
  • Drive the development and implementation of Google Vietnam’s marketing plans for advertisers, developers, and publisher products (including marketing campaigns) in partnership with products, sales, Comms and Business Development teams.
  • Uncover insights about Vietnamese users, small business owners, key opinion formers and the digital ecosystem to inform initiatives and marketing strategies.
  • Evaluate marketing opportunities and initiate programs to increase awareness of Google products through development of creative programs, brand awareness campaigns and promotions.
  • Internalize and bring to life the Google brand, mission and values in a single cohesive narrative around Google’s commitment to the country throughout the different initiatives that are launched.
