Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in product marketing, brand marketing, corporate/internal communications, management consulting, Google Ads sales or sales enablement, or a related field.
  • 3 years of project management experience working across cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience translating high-level strategies into polished assets alongside creative partners, video producers, and agencies.
  • Experience in, experimenting with and leveraging emerging AI tools to optimize daily workflows or enhance creative output.
  • Sharp critical thinking and creative investigative skills to structure and resolve complex operational issues.
  • Strong background in Google Ads products, sales tech, or market trends, with an active drive to simplify sellers' day-to-day workflows.
  • Proven track record as a versatile all-rounder managing multiple workflows and shifting priorities in changing environments.

About the job

As a Creative in Marketing, you bring visual, design, written and experiential acumen to Google products and services, presented across all major media, content, channels, and experiences. You have the ability to perform your role in a flexible, ever-changing environment and must be open to new influences and inspiration. You will work with a deeply cross-functional team and inspire a team of vendor partners by sharing ideas and developing effective solutions to generate multiple concepts supporting all forms of major media. You will be equally comfortable making; rolling up your sleeves and designing, mocking, writing, or prototyping; showing, not telling. Above all, you will inspire and lead by example by making the most of every opportunity to develop breakthrough creative, consistent with the Google Marketing brand, and be able to take and provide clear direction and creative feedback that pushes work forward.

As a Marketing and Communications Manager on the Google Compute Engine (GCE) Marketing team, you will be an all-rounder combining structured thinking, compelling storytelling, and rapid execution. You will pivot seamlessly from drafting concise executive updates to creative seller-facing narratives, high-level strategy, or asset production (videos, templates). You will translate complex AI and product concepts into clear stories, thriving in ambiguity to address whatever issues come next.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $116000 - $166000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Craft beautifully written, punchy, and highly polished communications, executive updates, newsletters, and slide copy that make complex Ads products, sales training initiatives, and AI tools instantly understandable.
  • Pivot fluidly between high-level planning, operational execution, and creative copywriting as business priorities shift.
  • Synthesize complex leadership discussions and data points into crisp action items, and design polished, narrative-driven decks for high-stakes executive discussions.
  • Lead collaborative initiatives across global product, sales, and engineering teams, translating complex strategies into seller-first framing.
