- Experience with long-range reinforcement learning.
- Experience in areas such as safety, fairness and alignment.
- Experience taking research from concept to product.
- Experience with collaborating or leading an applied research project.
- Experience with JAX.

We are seeking a driven Research Scientist or Research Engineer to expand the capabilities of our Gemini pre-training models across the legal, finance, and healthcare domains.

Responsibilities
- Design and maintain high-quality evaluation protocols to assess model capabilities, identify gaps, and measure headroom within the legal, financial, and healthcare sectors.
- Propose novel data solutions and execute rigorous, end-to-end experimental plans to address known model limitations, construct entirely new capabilities, and demonstrate measurable improvements.
- Propose, build and rapidly iterate on new ideas based on the team needs.
