Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++.
- 7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

NetSoft Demand team's mission is to "enable Google’s growth and innovation through the development and support of a network product portfolio which makes Google’s network infrastructure usable in an efficient, effective, and operable manner."
The team works on a varied set of business-critical software systems ranging from developing network product, fulfillment systems and network-demand generation systems.
The team is playing a critical and leadership role in business-critical cross-functional projects such as network-demand model for ML growth, Google Global Networking and Infrastructure (GGN&I) faster (geared to enable ML, Cloud expansions at a 10X speed than today), customer-service-edge solutions (geared towards Cloud growth) and continually optimizing the network delivery timelines.In this role, you will support our strategic growth in the above said areas, which comes with high degree of impact and autonomy. You will be a manager of managers, and having a set of executive IC reports. You will be a people-first person with strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to challenge the status-quo for this business-critical role.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $262000 - $364000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Develop and grow talent among our top engineers, future engineering leaders, and managers.
- Build broad consensus and bring in several viewpoints and requirements, while being a strong decision maker.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to the teams to land on an architecture that can support our short-term plans and long-term goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional partner leads to ensure that we're driving value directly to our customers and listening to their feedback.
- Define an inspirational goal and roadmap for the team that communicates the best of our offerings to our partners.
