Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, Android Ecosystem Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in the mobile network operator/OEM industry.
  • Experience managing agreements and partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience in business development or partner management, understanding long business cycles, negotiating agreement.
  • Track record of strategic capability within the mobile ecosystem, telecommunications, or tech-adjacent industries.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to navigate and support local partnerships in South East Asia (SEA) markets.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving growth for Android and platform and devices product areas across the telco, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and retail sector. You will be responsible for designing partnership strategies and executing complex agreements that are critical to drive our user acquisition and business generation efforts in the region with partners. As a member of the APAC Android Business Development team, you will work closely with Android Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Legal teams on new initiatives and key strategic relationships. In this role, you will identify industry trends and key influencers, managing the process from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to grow and generate business for the Android ecosystem, aligning with Google’s platform and devices strategic goals.
  • Develop, synthesize and share actionable local partner feedback and market/country trends to drive whole-Android and Platform and Devices (P&D) performance and partner with cross-functional teams to address and mitigate local challenges.
  • Drive operational excellence in all aspects of our partnership, regular business reviews, agreement integration, escalations management, etc. Serve as the main conduit for partner feedback and insights.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional business initiatives from conception to launch, ensuring they are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Guide the integration of internal team timelines, goals, and objectives. Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Marketing and other teams to execute on our overall P&D strategy.
