Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial operations, including cost benchmarking, unit cost reductions, process management, and translating data into business strategy.

  • 5 years of experience in program management, business operations, or business process engineering.
  • Experience in data analysis, utilizing metrics to track business performance and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and developing communication strategies across cross-functional teams.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Global Infrastructure and Energy organization is responsible to deliver the infrastructure to host and connect every machine and every user on the internet, with Carbon Free Energy (CFE). As part of the Commercial & Business Operations arm within the Global Operations for Assets and Tooling team, we are responsible to help leadership run the business, and support the strategic negotiators land deals quickly and be able to maximize our returns.

As a Commercial and Business Operations Program Manager, you will lead the strategic transformation of our operational workflows across the Network, Land, Infrastructure, and Energy domains. In this highly cross-functional role, you will architect comprehensive KPI programs and advocate the integration of AI and automation to resolve complex bottlenecks. By streamlining end-to-end commercial approval processes and transitioning manual tasks into scalable, tech-enabled solutions, you will empower leadership with actionable insights and accelerate execution. You will act as a central strategic partner, driving process excellence and ensuring our business operations are robust, efficient, and ready to scale.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Streamline business approval processes, identifying bottlenecks and designing scalable, automated workflows to ensure efficient and compliant execution.
  • Derive commercial insights from approval process to inform leadership of unit cost trends and opex impact.
  • Lead business process engineering across Network, Land, Infra and Energy domains, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and deploy scalable AI and automation solutions that transform operational efficiency.
  • Drive continuous operational improvements by auditing existing frameworks and replacing manual, time-consuming tasks with robust, tech-enabled solutions.
  • Partner strategically with business stakeholders to advocate process excellence, oversee the integration of new automated tools, and ensure seamless adoption across the organization.
