Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with front-end and user interface development for web applications.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience developing software using TypeScript or modern component-based web frameworks.
- Experience managing client-side state in product environments.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms, optimizing client-side rendering performance.
- Experience developing accessible technologies and implementing web accessibility standards.
- Experience working with Angular, reactive architectures such as Signals, or TypeScript.
- Experience in 0-to-1 environments, generative AI integration, or interactive media tools.

In this role within Google Flow, Labs’ flagship creative suite within Generative Media, you will help put frontier generative video and image models such as Veo and Imagen directly into the hands of filmmakers, visual artists, and digital storytellers. You will build a high-performance web environment that bridges the gap between state-of-the-art machine intelligence and professional creative workflows.Labs is a group focused on incubating early-stage efforts in support of Google’s mission to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our team exists to help discover and create new ways to advance our core products through exploration and the application of new technologies. We work to build new solutions that have the potential to transform how users interact with Google. Our goal is to drive innovation by developing new Google products and capabilities that deliver significant impact over longer timeframes.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code using TypeScript and modern web frameworks to ship responsive, user-facing generative media creation features.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and cross-functional stakeholders to decide amongst available client-side architectures and front-end technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt technical guides based on product updates, architectural standards, and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve defects by analyzing sources impacting client performance, network operations, and service quality.
