Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience selling and developing strategies in a competitive landscape.
  • Experience working with advertisers and agencies to design commercial incentive programs.
  • Understanding of marketing and media buying.
  • Problem solving skills, and an expert at navigating complexity and ambiguity.
  • Communication skills.
  • Skilled at conveying information and ideas with clarity and influence, fosters strong relationships, leads through conflicts, and persuades others.

About the job

This team is responsible for setting go-to-market strategy, shaping priorities and resources to accelerate business growth, and commercializing the next generation of Ads products (from representing the customer to advocating for product requirements to ensuring teams are equipped to drive customer growth, product adoption, and business health at scale). This team plays an important role in building excellent go-to-market infrastructure from tooling to enhancing GBOers business skills to ensuring flawless execution and operations against desired business outcomes and priorities. GTM has teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as in global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

This role sits within the Product GTM team, tasked with accelerating and defending LCS business growth for our global account portfolio across the region via the development and deployment of media incentive products, tools and program best practices.

As a Strategy and Operations Lead, APAC - Global Commercials, you will be responsible for accelerating business growth and future-proofing the APAC business by delivering on core commercial agreement strategies, including product acceleration programs (e.g., Media Trials), product readiness programs (e.g., Media Readiness Programs), and business acceleration programs (e.g., VIP and Agency agreements) for global clients. Critically, you will provide thought leadership on solution and market fit.

You will be responsible for supporting global agreements within APAC in the planning process, provide guidance on guardrails and global alignment - and support sales teams in their go-to-market approach for global deals (training, commercialization guides, etc.).

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Be a commercial agreements expert for the region.
  • Identify, develop and execute go-to-market commercial strategies, designed to incentivise client business and product acceleration.
  • Design and operationalize regional activation programs collaboratively (i.e., thought leadership, process, trainings, agreements enablement, and ecosystem).
  • Influence senior product and sales leaders and cross-functional teams towards strategies and features that will help accelerate key accounts business in APAC.
  • Partner with specialist, agency and sales leads in key APAC markets to unlock big bets.
