Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in program management, business operations, or business process engineering.
  • Experience in data analysis, utilizing metrics to track business performance and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and developing communication strategies across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience translating complex commercial datasets into strategic frameworks and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience managing commercial operations, cost benchmarking, or deal governance for large-scale infrastructure, corporate real estate, or capital projects.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives, including the global deployment and adoption of enterprise asset management or operational tools.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Global Infrastructure and Energy organization is responsible to deliver the infrastructure to host and connect every machine and every user on the internet, with Carbon Free Energy (CFE). As part of the Commercial & Business Operations arm within the Global Operations for Assets and Tooling team, we are responsible to help leadership run the business, and support the strategic negotiators land deals quickly and be able to maximize our returns.

As a Commercial and Business Operations Manager, you will lead critical initiatives that streamline our business operations and drive commercial success. You will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, identifying areas for operational improvement, designing scalable solutions, and leading cross-functional teams to execute them. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, analytical excellence, and strong program management skills to navigate complex business challenges.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $188000 - $274000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards. Analyze complex data sets to uncover commercial trends, track performance against targets, and provide actionable recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current commercial workflows. Design, implement, and scale standardized processes that improve productivity, reduce risk, and accelerate deal velocity.
  • Drive alignment across various teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives. Manage complex programs from inception to delivery.
  • Lead the rollout of new tools, systems, and operational frameworks. Ensure comprehensive training and high adoption rates across global teams.
