Senior Product Deployment Engineer, gTech Ads

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers, technical consulting, product management or solution architecture in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in building proof of concepts using web/scripting technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Python, etc.) and SQL databases.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience configuring, querying, or troubleshooting CRM architectures (e.g., custom internal backends).
  • Experience in an online advertising/customer growth role and familiarity with the ad serving industry and internet technologies.
  • Strong technical understanding of advertising technologies, APIs, and data integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications. Technical confidence in evaluating system architectures, with the ability to provide 'Day 1' feasibility assessments.
  • Demonstrated coding ability with Java or Python, and database knowledge with the ability to construct complex SQL queries.

About the job

As a Senior Product Deployment Engineer within gTech, you will be a key advisor to Google’s customers and serve as the definitive regional service authority for a specific product area. You will work as part of a team providing complex measurement implementation for Google’s top enterprise advertising clients.

You will be the bridge between “what a customer wants” and “what gTech Ads has to offer” within the Measurement area, whether via the standing Menu of Service or our gTech Ads engineering capabilities. You will require a deep understanding of the gTech Ads Menu of Service, strong customer engagement skills, and the ability to translate customer needs into scalable product strategies and high quality technical-product specifications that address complex business issues. You will bridge the gap between media consultancy and engineering, ensuring that Google’s gTech Ads engineering capabilities are deployed for business issues that directly activate customer business and drive campaign performance. You will be the regional authority on how technical product maturity leads to advanced marketing outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with regional product leads and sales to assess customer marketing objectives, technical maturity, infrastructure, and first-party data management strategies.
  • Advise sales and clients on maximizing complex product adoption, prioritizing scalable solutions with last-mile customization while reserving bespoke engineering for business opportunities.
  • Lead technical consultations to uncover opportunities for custom solutions, ensuring designs respect industry-specific data constraints and business cycles.
  • Translate complex customer requirements into clear system architectures and technical specifications that prioritize scalability, reusability, and media activation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor providing technical-product oversight during implementation, ensuring the engineering build aligns with customer strategy while deferring base-code decisions to Engineering. Architect data-in/data-out connections (e.g., CRM integrations via Google Ads API) while ensuring first-party data activation complies with global privacy regulations.
