  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with game or app developers, as well as key partners to develop and execute joint marketing campaigns, and drive business outcomes.
  • Experience or interest in the video/mobile games industry.
  • Excellent communication skills to present information and manage relationships with various audiences externally and internally.
  • Excellent project management skills, with ability to manage simultaneous projects across multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem solving, attention to detail, analytical, and business skills.

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

The Google Play consumer marketing team is connecting Google's technology with users worldwide. The team's mission is to show how Google Play's products entertain, delight, and solve real-world problems. The team builds new experiences that reward customers and attract new ones.

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will drive the velocity of the global ecosystem by partnering with apps and game developers. You will serve as the primary execution lead for strategic DMF co-marketing agreements and own the lifecycle of partner marketing assets navigating legal, creative, and developer approvals to bring campaigns to life.

Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Developer Marketing Fund (DMF) programs to fulfill strategic agreement obligations, overseeing the execution of DMF programs, including development of creative playbooks that streamline how developer partners show up in global campaigns, asset reviews, campaign reporting, and continuous communication with developer partners to optimize campaigns.
  • Manage asset reviews and secure developer approvals for partner-related content, ensuring all output aligns with brand standards and partner identity.
  • Prioritize partner content across their liveops and other beats for organic social posts in collaboration with the India-based team and secure developer approvals for partner related posts.
  • Assist with overall team research, pitch decks, or presentations for developer partners.
