Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of product management experience.
  • 15 years of experience delivering roadmaps, directing product launches, and writing/influencing organizations.
  • 15 years of experience working in global, technical organizations with multiple product lines.
  • 10 years of experience in cybersecurity.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD.
  • Experience in the Agentic Security domain.
  • Ability to lead and mentor product managers and technical talent.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to represent and convert complex business or technical concepts with senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated success leading initiatives, developing policies or thought leadership in regulated, high visibility domains.

The Core Product Security organization is seeking a Principal Director Product Manager to drive the product strategy and roadmap for OCR. The Principal Product Director serves as a critical bridge across all functional areas of OCR including identity, access, detection, and response to ensure a unified security strategy balancing user experience for Google and Googlers.

As a Product leader in this space, the PM will lead the strategy and implementation of security guardrails that enable developer velocity. This is a high-impact role requiring deep technical expertise in security frameworks and the industry landscape and the ability to influence cross-functional leaders across Alphabet and drive cybersecurity thought leadership externally with the CISO and broader security community. You will be responsible for defining how agents are identified, authorized, and monitored as they interact with systems containing business data at Alphabet. You will have the opportunity to shape product roadmaps in ways that secure productivity for Alphabet, its customers, and the cybersecurity industry at large.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $281000 - $391000 (USD) + 30% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Drive the product vision, strategy and roadmap in conjunction with the PM team to implement BeyondZero capabilities for agents at Google.
  • Inspire innovation that results in product transformation, drive improvements in security, safety and privacy metrics and addresses gaps and opportunities across product experiences.
  • Partner closely with SWE, Security Engineering and functional leaders across Google to create, drive and deliver innovative security capabilities for our users across all Google  platforms.
  • Build and drive the strategy for the next generation security paradigm for an Agent-First world. 
  • Stay ahead of emerging threats and shape the secure AI strategy by passing insights back into both internal standards and emerging industry frameworks.
