Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 4 years of relevant experience as a Solutions Consultant, with a focus on digital advertising products.
  • Experience in an online advertising role, and familiarity with the advertisement serving industry and internet technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to code with Java or Python with the ability to construct complex SQL queries.
  • Excellent problem-solving, investigative, management and communication skills, with the ability to absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate them to a non-technical audience.

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

As Product Deployment Engineer, you will be providing specialized product guidance and adapting standard solutions for complex client architectures while supporting sales through technical objection handling and discovery. Responsibilities

  • Assess customer’s product adoption and technical maturity. Diagnose customer’s technical configuration and environment, leading deep-dive audits to map customer ecosystem and identify privacy-safe data integration touchpoints.
  • Provide deep, specialized design guidance for a specific Product Area to accelerate growth. Ensure designs align with Google’s product standards and implementation best practices. Author Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) to hand off to Center of Excellence (CoE) Engineering for net-new solution development.
  • Partner with customer’s tech teams and vendors to deploy product and implement recommendation. Implement technical solutions (e.g., scripts, rapid prototyping, last mile solution deployment, etc.) to drive product usage. Identify when the standard Management Operating System (MoS) cannot solve a problem and technical solution via Engineering Hub and BRD authoring is needed (e.g., T1 only).
