Technical Sales Consultant Manager, Infrastructure Modernization, Google Cloud (Japanese, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud infrastructure sales activities in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Partner), customers, and partners to support business goals, customer experience, and customer expansion.
  • Leadership experience (e.g., people management, team lead, mentorship, coaching).
  • Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in performance management and sales cycles, coaching high performance and ensuring delivery against goals.
  • Experience tailoring and delivering compelling messages by audience, asking strategic questions, and leading conversations that drive business opportunities.
  • Experience driving delivery and consumption plans for complex, cross-pillar cloud solutions.
  • Thought leader in Infrastructure Modernization and adjacent practice areas, specialized in technical sales and strategizing around holistic customer and industry solutions.
  • Specialization in infrastructure, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure deployment patterns; experience with Linux, Windows technologies.

As a Technical Sales Consultant Manager, they seek to accelerate Google Cloud customer success by providing domain-specific technical sales expertise, while responsibly influencing products and solutions. You lead and deploy a team of subject matter experts responsible for working alongside our customers to provide trusted technical sales and solution advice to accelerate workload migration and remove technical impediments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of technical sales experts in a matrixed organization. Focus on talent strategy, assessing go-to-market readiness and gaps in skills development and opportunity coverage to deliver successful cloud transformation outcomes for customers and accelerate business goals.
  • Monitor and influence progress against strategic account plans, ensuring the team exceeds business goals, accelerates and increases consumption, and drives customer satisfaction throughout the business cycle. Forecast business performance accurately.
  • Execute the technical sales goal and strategy for your region’s Infrastructure Modernization practice. 
  • Influence cross-functional teams, including technical and partner teams, ensuring customer needs are represented in product roadmaps and new technology is incubated and scaled.
  • Lead technical sales engagements with strategic customers, working with cross-functional peers to plan customer engagements.
