Strategy and Operations Principal, Data Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of professional experience in go-to-market (GTM) strategy, strategy and operations, program management, or business operations.
  • 4 years of experience with "zero-to-one" program launch, specifically establishing and designing initiatives from scratch with shifting priorities.
  • 4 years of experience in cross-functional stakeholder management.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with R, SQL, spreadsheets, or similar analytics tools.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams.
  • Experience utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies or productivity tools to automate reporting, streamline program workflows, or scale operational processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud database technologies, data storage, enterprise SaaS business lines, or basic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

In this role, you will lead GTM operations for Data Cloud (includes Data Analytics, Databases, BI and Storage) in partnership with the Product, Regional Specialist Sales/CE leads, and Partner teams. You will build GTM strategies, drive alignment between the GTM and Data Cloud organization, support rollout of cross-product area solutions to support business acceleration opportunities, and run strategic customer management programs. You will require significant cross-functional execution, working with global and regional Sales leadership, GTM Sales and Operations, Solutions, Partner, and Product teams. You will also seek to understand go-to-market performance and Data Cloud global pipeline by analyzing data, gathering customer and field feedback to inform areas of friction and opportunities.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $176000 - $256000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Influence executive-level decision-making around core business decisions, such as prioritization of growth opportunities, through scalable and actionable analytical insights to increase productivity.
  • Support execution of strategic customer management programs and customer Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Design and lead programs around new customer acquisition, business attainment, and market development objectives.
  • Gather customer and field feedback and work with the Data Cloud product teams to continually optimize GTM strategy and execution, aligned to changing market and customer needs.
  • Organize the design and implementation of the business cadence to deliver effective operations including reporting success of Data Cloud GTM by running regional MBR/QBRs with the GM and field leaders and GTM-Product Interlock sessions.
