Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
  • Experience in application development in one platform/area (e.g., web, iOS, Android, CompDes, XR).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience developing responsive, adaptive, and performant websites and applications.
  • 6 years of experience as a front-end developer, UX Engineer, creative or design technologist, or in a prototyping design environment.

Joining a multi-disciplinary UX team, you will collaborate with Engineering and Product Management, using user insights to create industry-leading products. As a Senior UX Engineer for Cloud Learning Services, you will operate at the intersection of interaction design and software engineering to define how learners interact with GenAI across Google Cloud. You will be responsible for creating high-fidelity, production-ready prototypes that push the boundaries of AI-native learning experiences. Working with high autonomy, you will spin up separate testing environments, manipulate live APIs, and validate complex interactive features—such as streaming UI, conversational AI Learning Companions, and dynamic feedback loops—to seamlessly bridge the gap between design and production execution.

US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from UX designers and researchers.
  • Collaborate with other engineers on final implementation and polish.
  • Meet high accessibility standards.
  • Serve as a mentor for early-career UX engineers and peers.
