  • Experience managing and scaling a team of program managers in a design or UX organization.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of complex, large-scale hardware and software programs from concept to launch.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, resource allocation, and budget management for a large creative organization.
  • Proven track record of working effectively across functions and disciplines in highly dynamic and fast-paced environments while building strong relationships with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build consensus among senior cross-functional leaders.

You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, to create industry-leading products based on user insights.

As a UX Program Manager, you will combine expert project management with a passion for user experience to improve the design of products used by billions. Your role is to plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure deadlines are met. You will harmonize the work of various UX disciplines and cross-functional partners to drive team objectives and create innovative experiences.

In this leadership position, you will oversee a group of UX Program Managers within the Google Home organization, driving both strategic and operational efforts to ensure the delivery of premium, user-focused experiences. You will work closely with UX leaders to architect comprehensive roadmaps and operational cadences, defining project scopes and navigating intricate workflows. Serving as a vital link between Engineering, Product, and UX, you will unify diverse UX disciplines to address complicated user challenges from initial ideation through to final release.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of UX Program Managers, fostering a culture of operational excellence and driving the strategic direction for the Home UX Program Management function
  • Lead strategic initiatives to refine and scale core UX processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality user experiences by improving bug prioritization, feature readiness reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Influence shared organizational programs and goals by advocating for user-centered development through tools, systems, and collaboration.
  • Direct the UX program management for a portfolio of Google Home's highest-priority initiatives, spanning AI infrastructure, subscription services, third-party hardware integrations, and core platform reliability.
  • Own the annual and quarterly UX resource and capacity planning process for the 80+ person Home UX organization, aligning staffing with the product roadmap and strategic business objectives.
