Lead Technical Program Manager, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing complex cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience utilizing Generative AI models and applications, coupled with strong data manipulation and operational skills.
  • Demonstrated security expertise in large-scale cloud platforms.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and deliver solutions effectively within highly complex, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environments.
  • Lead and own large, complex, and strategic programs that inherently span multiple functional teams and potentially multiple product areas or organizations. This includes defining program roadmaps, workstreams, and driving decisions across these boundaries.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Cloud CISO is in the midst of transforming Google Cloud Platform (GCP) product vulnerability management in a world where AI agents are getting better and better at discovering latent security vulnerabilities and, in many cases, dramatically reducing the time to weaponize high-severity vulnerabilities. You will serve as a strategic leader capable of navigating a high-velocity environment and building scalable, sustainable Security programs. This role requires an expert at navigating ambiguity, driving execution, and partnering with senior leadership within Cloud and across other organizations.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $240000 - $334000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Be the trusted program owner for critical Cloud-wide, cross-functional security programs in the areas of vulnerability management and security enforcement. Partner with engineering, product, and security leadership to define, shape, and evolve the long-term roadmap and strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with Cloud CISO risk and compliance, cloud product security leads, Core, and PSS to drive alignment and land impactful changes for the organization's security needs.
  • Apply deep technical, business, and program management expertise to identify, assess, track, and mitigate security risks across products and infrastructure.
