Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in talent advisement, management consulting, product strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience operating within a premier venture capital talent network (e.g., leading board or executive talent practices) combined with leadership experience in hyper-scale, high-growth technology companies.
  • Experience advising CEOs, founders, and boards of directors on organizational architecture, leadership capability gaps, and governance/board placements.
  • Experience evaluating executive teams during acquisitions or complex organizational realignments.
  • Deep familiarity with technical leadership profiles.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and diplomacy to navigate the Office of the CEO executive committees, and high-profile applicants engagements.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

The team sits at the center of long-term goals, priorities, and critical business bets. In this role, you will serve as the primary bridge connecting leadership with global People Operations and Recruiting groups.

This position is designed for a veteran specialist who thrives at the intersection of headhunting, venture-ecosystem engagement, and workplace strategy. Operating as a trusted consultant to the Chief of Staff and executive management, you will oversee bespoke workforce programs, drive key special assignments, cultivate an external circle of operators, and personally deliver mission-critical placements from end to end.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $222000 - $308000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Act as the dedicated conduit and trusted advisor between the Office of the  Chief Executive Officer’s (CEO) and Google’s broader Global Talent Acquisition, Executive Search organizations.
  • Translate corporate-level initiatives, product roadmaps, and organizational pivots into high-priority talent strategies and leadership profiles.
  • Lead and execute confidential, high-impact, Tier-0 executive searches across Engineering, Product, Design, and General Management.
  • Build, nurture, and activate an ongoing, high-trust network of technology executives, venture partners, startup founders, and board-level directors. Represent the Office of the CEO across premier industry communities.
  • Guide confidential, high-leverage talent projects originating from the CEO desk, such as advisory board buildouts, confidential organizational benchmarking, and talent assessments. Partner closely with Corporate Development and Mergers and Acquisitions.
