About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

YouTube is seeking a MarTech Leader to define and execute a technology vision at the intersection of Marketing, Product, and Engineering. You will own the end-to-end roadmap and architecture of the YouTube Marketing Technology stack, transforming ambitious marketing goals into rigorous technical specifications.

As a primary bridge between functions, you will advocate for an AI-powered infrastructure that scales globally. We are looking for a visionary who commands the respect of engineering and the trust of marketing, ensuring our data and operations aren't just efficient, but are key drivers of YouTube’s growth.

This role reports to the Sr. Director of YouTube Marketing Strategy, Insights, and Analytics, leading a team of ~20 reports.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the MarTech roadmap, transforming isolated marketing requests into an interoperable technology portfolio.
  • Drive efficiency improvements by automating key marketing surfaces and scaling our ability to deliver personalized communications to billions of users. Forge deep, high-trust relationships with product management and engineering.
  • Drive principled architectural decisions, determining when to leverage YouTube/Google’s internal engineering stack (data gravity, scale) versus integrating external solutions (speed, agility). Oversee end-to-end architecture of our core platforms.
  • Lead the technical design for marketing data pipelines, ensuring strict adherence to privacy (GDPR/CCPA) while maximizing signal fidelity for attribution and measurement.
  • Develop and advocate for a shared long-term vision for how AI/ML will transform YouTube's marketing efforts. Advocate for a culture of automation.
