Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in enterprise technology sales, Go-To-Market strategy, or business development, with a focus on Cloud or SaaS ecosystems.
  • Experience defining or executing global sales plays, analyzing performance metrics, or managing macro business.
  • Experience partnering with Product Management or Engineering teams.
  • Experience with Generative AI portfolios.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Experience navigating the AI ecosystem with a focus on driving project-level impact and execution excellence through strategic partnerships.
  • Experience managing the execution of complex initiatives amidst rapid technological shifts and competitive updates.
  • Ability to think from first principles to define new markets and create GTM strategies for nascent technologies.
  • Ability to successfully bridge the "execution gap" by translating technical AI capabilities into tactical, high-impact programs that drive measurable business growth.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team-first environment with a "can-do" attitude, demonstrating excellent cross-functional influence without direct authority.

About the job

As the AI Go-To-Market (GTM) team works to bridge a critical "execution gap" driven by the rapid pace of model releases and a maturing ecosystem, this practice leadership role provides the strategic and operational backbone required to scale our generative AI business globally.

As the Strategic Initiatives Lead, AI GTM, you will be responsible for leading high-impact strategic programs and initiatives that drive the broader AI GTM strategy across Google Cloud. You will be instrumental in executing product line growth goals by operationalizing, launching, and monitoring key global initiatives.

In this role, you will lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Regional GTM teams, to drive the development and scaling of the GenAI solution portfolio. You will apply deep industry knowledge to execute on core market opportunities aligned with our strategic roadmap. Balancing high-level program management with an approach, you will proactively address blockers to enterprise-grade AI maturity, navigating integration complexities and data readiness to ensure execution excellence.
You will partner closely with executive leadership from product to GTM to report on business progress, recommend acceleration tactics, and ensure our solutions perform at scale.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $224000 - $312000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of high-priority AI initiatives, serving as a key point of contact for product GTMs and ensuring the seamless operationalization.
  • Provide executive leadership with actionable visibility into program performance through detailed data analysis.
  • Own the metrics for specific initiative progress, business impact, and consumption trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Share best practices and insights across sales leadership.
  • Act as a critical feedback loop, transforming real-world field insights, data readiness issues, and state-management challenges into Google Cloud’s future AI product roadmap.
