About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Waze Communities include several thousand volunteers worldwide who participate in various projects and aid in improving product quality. Waze has four different global communities: Map Editors, Beta Testers, Localizers and Partners.

The Community Manager PgM role involves planning and managing the entire life cycle of projects within the communities program at Waze. This includes enhancing community contribution, knowledge, communication platforms, with a focus on tracking, measuring, monitoring, and communicating progress, risks, and mitigations.

Leading Waze Communities within squads and teams, the role encompasses ideation, road-map planning, project/feature planning, testing, release, feedback cycles, and landing activities, including translation and mapping where relevant. The position involves driving local community engagement, fostering user-generated content, and advocating for community features in Waze products.

In this role, you will scale programs supporting community operations, manage internal/external communications, and translate community requirements into technical terms.

Furthermore, you will develop engaging written, visual, and event content. Building trusted stakeholder relationships, providing advice to leadership, and aligning decisions with community needs are essential.

Waze is where people and technology meet to solve transportation challenges. It's a platform that empowers users to contribute road data and edit Waze maps to improve the way we move about the world. As the social navigation pioneer, Waze leverages mobile technology and a passionate global community to redefine expectations of today’s maps.
