Senior Tech Lead Manager, Agentic Platform for Search Verticals

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development, including making direct technical contributions to systems architecture.
  • 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and optimizing industry-scale ML infrastructure.
  • 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Experience in agentic AI systems and platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • 3 years of people management experience leading software engineering teams.
  • Experience developing zero-shot tool selection, long-context working memory systems, and multi-step autonomous workflows.
  • Experience building end-user applications on LLM platforms utilizing multi-agent orchestration frameworks.

The Search Verticals team is seeking an experienced Tech Lead Manager (TLM) to lead our teams working on user experiences powered by new Agentic LLM capabilities. In this role, you will develop a system that supports both long-duration tasks with iterative planning loops and low-latency transactional execution engines.

Additionally, you will grow and foster a team of software engineers and technical leads, set quarterly goals, balance platform investments against product integration deadlines, and ensure predictable execution.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and scale resilient runtime engines capable of state persistence, long-context working memory, and multi-agent collaboration for complex, long-running loops.
  • Lead the development of low-latency action execution pipelines, encompassing zero-shot tool selection, OAuth/identity managing, and API integration for short-running actions.
  • Provide technical contributions and systems design architecture review outside of standard people management responsibilities to resolve ambiguous engineering problems.
  • Establish verification systems, offline/online evaluation suites, and performance metrics to ensure agent actions are safe, accurate, and non-destructive.
  • Hire, mentor, and manage a team of Software Engineers and Tech Leads, driving resource allocation, quarterly targets, and cross-functional alignment.
