Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience leading operations in technology, management consulting, or vendor management environments.
  • Experience managing programs, vendor operations, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to influence cross-functionally within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and be effective under pressure, with a knack for coaching teams to navigate and communicate within ambiguous environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, paired with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Background in Trust and Safety, content moderation, or policy operations within online platforms.

The Global Vendor Operations organization manages vendor partner ecosystems across all of YouTube. These vendors provide support to all YouTube users—viewers, paid subscribers, and creators, artists, and media companies worldwide, across all YouTube products.

As a Governance Lead within YouTube Trust and Safety, you will ensure initiatives are executed seamlessly. You will serve as the primary bridge between senior leaders and front-line execution teams. Additionally, you will oversee supplier delivery, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional synergy to maintain YouTube as a safe, fair, and reliable platform for the global community.At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. US: $164000 - $239000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize complex operational data into concise briefings and executive summaries for executive leadership, highlighting insights, key metrics, and operational risks while delivering actionable recommendations based on deep dives.
  • Facilitate recurring weekly and monthly governance reviews to closely monitor vendor performance, maintain strong operational alignment, and proactively identify and mitigate emerging operational risks.
  • Refine monthly vendor scorecards to ensure accurate tracking against key performance indicators and benchmarks, while preparing thorough materials that establish clear partner accountability and operational alignment.
  • Establish standardized operational frameworks and consistent guidelines for content moderation workflows and user appeals to systematically optimize processing speed, decision accuracy, quality, and platform performance.
  • Perform advanced quantitative analyses to resolve critical operational questions and direct initiatives that enhance system efficiency, delivering measurable, sustainable performance improvements across all global YouTube business operations.
