Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, legislative analysis, or regulatory advocacy.
  • 2 years of experience working directly with legislative/executive officials, policy committees, or government agencies.
  • Experience managing public policy issues and advocacy campaigns.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with legislative processes and policy development at state or federal levels.
  • Ability to build bipartisan coalitions and maintain key stakeholder partnerships.
  • Leadership skills with a track record of cross-functional, independent execution.
  • Strong political, analytical, and communication skills, with 50% travel ability.

About the job

The Cloud Global Affairs and Public Policy team engages with government entities, policymakers, and key stakeholders to shape public policy, advocate for favorable legislative outcomes, and navigate complex regulatory environments. We support strategic initiatives by fostering trusted relationships, educating public officials, driving policy reform, and ensuring alignment between organizational goals and public policy framework.

In this role, you will partner across teams to address government affairs and public policy issues in key markets. You will represent the organization before state and local policymakers, senior leadership, influential decision-makers, and agency executives to drive strategic initiatives. You will work collaboratively to support business growth and public policy objectives by proactively mitigating risks and addressing policy barriers. Additionally, you will participate in key trade associations critical to advancing our equities while protecting our license to operate.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal leaders to align government affairs and public policy strategies with corporate goals.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to assess business impact and identify strategic opportunities.
  • Develop comprehensive advocacy plans, policy positions, and materials in support of government policy goals.
  • Build trusted relationships with key policymakers, officials, trade associations, and coalition partners.
  • Facilitate executive engagements with public officials and manage external consultants and lobbyists to ensure compliant advocacy.
