Global Strategic Initiatives Energy Specialist, Strategic Missions and Partnerships, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or any analytical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional projects in greenfield environments.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with "first-of-a-kind" agreement structures and novel commercial models.
  • Deep understanding of the Energy industry value chain and digital transformation opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of the internal contributor ecosystem, including but not limited to ELS, Tax/Treasury/Legal, Controllership, and Product and Engineering.
  • Proven track record of winning large, complex enterprise agreements
  • Excellent planning and execution skills in greenfield or high-growth environments.

The Strategic Missions and Partnerships (SMP) team drive Google Cloud growth through the systematic identification and execution of non-standard growth opportunities that open new markets, acquire new customers, and grow existing customers.

In this role, you will be a business strategist and problem solver. You will use a systems-thinking mindset to identify trends. You will work with the Energy industry to identify opportunities to solve sector issues using Google technology.

You will understand the context of the Energy sector and the implications for a technology-driven future. You will build relationships with brands in the Energy sector. You will develop and implement Google Cloud’s Energy strategy to build the business in new markets.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. US: $121000 - $176000 (USD) + 66.67% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Partner with account leadership to develop and execute long-term digital transformation strategies for top Energy brands, managing novel Google Cloud adoptions
  • Partner with cross-functional Google teams (e.g., Cloud, Maps, Ads, Android) to build and deliver integrated, 'One Google' solutions for clients.
  • Assist with the development of comprehensive pricing, agreement financials, and risk mitigation strategies tailored to the complex landscape of the Energy sector.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable agreement archetypes, leveraging these frameworks to drive 'greenfield' opportunities in the Energy sector.
  • Partner with account leadership to drive the strategic direction for targeted Energy accounts, influencing key decision-makers and C-suite stakeholders on their digital transformation roadmap.
