Software Engineer, Android

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in mobile application development, including writing, debugging, and deploying code using Java or Kotlin.
  • Experience in front-end and user interface (UI) development.
  • Experience in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues in user-facing applications.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience in Android platform or mobile application development.
  • Experience in translating high-fidelity design mockups and prototypes into functional user interfaces using front-end web technologies.

You’ll work with bleeding-edge visual patterns, experiment with animations and shaders, and help shape the next chapter of Android’s interface evolution.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Build beautiful, performant, and accessible UIs using Java and Kotlin, including crafting custom views, animations, and visual effects.
  • Collaborate with UX to prototype, iterate, and refine interaction designs.
  • Own and drive independent projects from initial concept through to production.
  • Implement new framework-level APIs and maintain code quality through testing, documentation, and refactoring.
