Product Deployment Engineer, gTech (English, Mandarin)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in technical consulting, product management, or in solution architecture and project management in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in building proof of concepts using web/scripting technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Python, etc.) and SQL databases.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technical field.
  • Experience in an online advertising/customer growth role and familiarity with the ad serving industry and internet technologies.
  • Practical experience configuring, querying, or troubleshooting CRM architectures (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or custom internal backends).
  • Ability to absorb complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with effective problem-solving, analytical and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated coding ability with Java or Python, and database knowledge with the ability to construct complex SQL queries.

About the job

As a Product Deployment Engineer within gTech Ad GCS, you will be a key advisor to Google’s customers and serve as the definitive regional service authority for a specific product area. You are the strategic bridge between “what a customer wants” and “how gTech Ads GCS can enable” within a specific product area. This role requires a deep understanding of the gTech Ads Implementation Menu of Service (MoS), strong customer engagement skills, and the ability to translate customer needs into scalable product strategies and high quality technical-product specifications that address complex business challenges. You will bridge the gap between implementation consultancy and engineering, ensuring that Google’s gTech Ads engineering capabilities are deployed for high-impact business challenges that directly activate customer business and drive campaign performance. You are the regional authority on how technical product maturity leads to exceptional marketing outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with regional functional sales and product leads to evaluate customer technical maturity, advise on scalable ad-tech adoption, uncover high-impact customization opportunities, and channel product gap insights directly to core engineering teams.
  • Translate complex client requirements into scalable system architectures and clear PRDs/BRDs. Develop reusable deployment playbooks and standardize vendor workflows to accelerate time-to-market and streamline integration governance.
  • Oversee technical rollouts as a trusted advisor, architecting privacy-compliant first-party data pipelines via APIs. Establish rigorous testing frameworks to validate configurations using real-world data, partnering across gTech teams to ensure seamless last-mile execution.
